CAPITAL Maintains PCI Certification in 2008
June 5 , 2008

SIOUX FALLS, SD - CAPITAL Card Services, Inc. (CAPITAL), a leader in portfolio management and card outsourcing solutions, announced today their successful completion of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI) audit for the third year in a row.

The PCI Data Security Standards are multifaceted security standards that include requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures. The PCI Data Security Standards are used by both VISA® and MasterCard®.

In 2005, CAPITAL became one of the first companies under the Credit Card Services category to pass the PCI requirements and continues to show its commitment to clients and cardholders by successfully completing the PCI audit each year.

“We strive to make sure our clients feel secure in our ability to safeguard customer account data. Completing the PCI audit for the third year in a row is just one more way to protect our clients and their customers,” said Jeffrey Aegerter, CAPITAL’s President and CEO.

About PCI Data Security Standard
The major Card Associations have developed data protection programs for members, merchants, and service providers. Visa’s Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP) and MasterCard’s Site Data Protection (SDP) program have been aligned into the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, which outlines best practices for securing credit card data that is stored, processed or transmitted.
